Major Pet Peeve!

I really don’t understand people who don’t use correct grammar when communicating via internet or text messaging.

(One) If you want to be taken more seriously, then talk classy, not trashy. If you speak as if you didn’t receive an education, you will be perceived as such. Everything on the internet is forever sealed into cyberspace, don’t let it come back to eat you in the butt.

(Two) Majority of what we say can be interpreted with body language, but without that, text can be interpreted in any sort of way. Speak to be understood, don’t leave any room to be misunderstood. I believe that’s why people use “haha” or “lol” so often, to let the other know that everything is all in good fun.

(Three) It’s greatly bothersome when someone who can write an A+ paper in school, can’t communicate that same intelligence outside of it. It’s not that you don’t care, you’re just lazy. School is there to teach us, not only information, but also how to talk to our peers and colleagues.

(Conclusion) No need to write scholastically or leave out your daily vernacular or what not, just use common sense with grammar. And if you have that down, then work on your spelling. It makes a difference.
